From bedroom to booth.
What it is
Built like a record, not a textbook.
This program trains DJs for real underground environments. Clubs, warehouses, DIY spaces, not just bedrooms. You learn to select, mix, and perform music with intention, culture awareness, and confidence. By the end you can play a 60 to 90 minute set and mix cleanly by ear on club-standard gear.
Class by class
Eight classes, one focus each.
- Class 1
DJ culture, ethics, and booth fundamentals
Underground history, the role of the DJ, mixer signal flow, and how to carry yourself in a real booth.
- Class 2
Beatmatching by ear
Tempo recognition, pitch riding, cueing without waveforms, and fixing drift live. No sync, no training wheels.
- Class 3
Phrasing and arrangement
Counting bars instinctively, phrase matching, long blends, and knowing where not to mix.
- Class 4
Transitions and EQ philosophy
EQ as sculpting, not boosting. Energy-based transitions and harmonic awareness without the religion.
- Class 5
Track selection and digging
Developing your own taste, buying music ethically, organizing your library, and playing for rooms, not ego.
- Class 6
Set construction and energy control
Opening, peak, and closing. Hypnosis over drops. Planning a 90 minute arc and adapting mid-set.
- Class 7
Club simulation and troubleshooting
Loud systems, monitoring issues, mistake recovery, and booth etiquette under pressure.
- Class 8
Live performance and feedback
You play a real open decks set. Instructor feedback and graduation mix review.
